People whose 1st language isn't the one they're speaking often choose interesting/novel ways of expressing a thought than a native speaker. You are always either a non-native speaker or listening to one. Do you think this effects your poetry?

Even if the above is true, I find your thoughts and the way you get them out very enjoyable. (I was reaching for an interesting/novel word there but faltered.)

Half the time I'm a non-native speaker speaking that funky Deutsch. Other times I'm trying to remember the word for something in English. I think I'm mostly aware of language quirks and weird semantic relations.
And I've never like playing Monopoly.

I read a few sites and poems. I like many, especially Opportunity Knocked and Feng Shui and more. Opportunity Knocked reminds me of mine about apartment and neighborhood noises.

Life is sad here in Oregon sometimes. Too many disabled, sick, hyperactive, and drugged.

Thanks for reading Nicole.
I'd trade Germany for Oregon!

I don't like Monopoly either, but I like the poem a lot.
